"At Avaya Labs Research, I can switch to new projects every 9-12 months. This gives me the opportunity to learn about a wide range of technologies. Always learning and advancing our technology is very rewarding"
My Research
Currently, I’m interested in providing enhanced services for various networks.  Also, improving their reliability and performance by providing better monitoring, diagnostics.
Projects
The Callisto Diagnostic Interface Unit (DIU) provides remote monitoring and diagnostics for T1. The Callisto DIU is an Avaya developed hardware platform running VxWorks. It is insert into a T1 span to provide remote alarming and detailed performance data.  Callisto’s Collaborative Remote Diagnostic Feature allows people responsible for different portions of the circuit to jointly diagnose T1 problems.

Another project that I’m working on is the Proteus Phone.  It provides voice roaming between 802.11 and GSM networks.   The phone is based on Avaya’s SIP Softphone ported to Windows CE, and GSM software developed using Microsoft’s Telephony API (TAPI). It will interact with another Avaya Labs Research Project, End Point Services (EPS) to manage call handoffs while roaming.
