Some joint work between Research IT and Avayalabs are highlighted below. TARGET: Is a two-way web services crossing enterprise domains. Designed and architectured a 2-way web service router which allows SOAP messages to traverse enterprise firewalls legitimately, enables inter-enterprise two-way web services and meanwhile, minimizes administration and network management significantly. This is especially critical to service providers and branch offices. VIPER/MyPassword: With researchers and IT members of the Viper team, we developed and deployed the Viper (Voice-Interactive Password Recovery) system into an internal Avaya service called MyPassword to support global and remote domains. MyPassword went live on August 4th with 15,000 North American employees, and expanded on September 9th to worldwide coverage of 25,000 employees and business partners. Initial statistics indicate that the system will save the company between $0.5-1M per year, while enhancing corporate security and improving employee efficiency. PROTON: Proton is a framework for PROTection Of Networks. This framework helps to secure enterprise networks against malware attacks by ensuring the compliance-level of connected machines. Currently, I am working along with Avaya's CIO where we have setup a conduit to channelize ideas between Research and Corporate IT. |
